About Football Predictions AI
How It All Started — A Note from Alexey
It all started in the summer of 1994. The World Cup in the United States, the magic of the Italian side, the genius of Roberto Baggio. For a kid watching every late-night match on a small TV, those weeks rewired something. I have been a die-hard fan of Italian football ever since.
Thirty-plus years later, I have lived through the heartbreaks (Baggio's missed penalty in the final still hurts) and the highs (the 2006 World Cup, Euro 2020). All of it left me with a deep love for the game — and, more practically, a head full of patterns: how teams form mid-season, when an away record actually means something, why some Serie A campaigns belong to defenders and others to wingers.
Football Predictions is my way of turning that thirty-year obsession into something useful. The AI engine does the heavy data lifting — 180+ leagues, every fixture, every market, all powered by the API-Football data feed — but the editorial direction comes from a fan-first perspective. I review the model methodology quarterly, spot-check a random sample of picks every week, and read every reader email myself. See the full breakdown on the Methodology page.
What sets us apart is transparency. Every prediction is published with a timestamp before kickoff and tracked on our Stats page. Accuracy figures across 180+ leagues, updated daily — wins and losses, no cherry-picking.
This is also why we built the Leaderboard. Predictions are more fun when you compete: vote on matches, build accumulators, chase a winning streak, climb from Rookie to Legend. Thousands of fans are already doing exactly that — beating our algorithms, sharing picks, arguing about Italy's chances in the next tournament. (Mine: cautious optimism.)
This project is not just a website. It is the continuation of a thirty-year story that started one summer with Baggio. If you want to talk football — argue with my predictions, debate xG, or just say hi — find me on LinkedIn or X. Welcome to the community.

Who I Am Building This For
Football Predictions AI is an independent, AI-powered football predictions platform I built and run personally. It delivers data-driven betting tips across 180+ leagues worldwide, combining statistical models, real-time form analysis, and historical data to generate predictions for every match — from the Premier League to lower divisions. There is no team behind it: just me, the API-Football data feed, and the AI engine I review.
How My Predictions Work
The prediction engine I built analyses several data points per fixture:
- Team form — recent results, home/away performance, winning and losing streaks
- Head-to-head records — historical matchups between the two teams
- Statistical models — expected goals (xG), shots on target, possession trends, corner and card averages
- Odds analysis — comparing bookmaker odds to identify value bets where probability diverges from market pricing
- Squad data — injuries, suspensions, and lineup changes that affect match outcomes
Each prediction is assigned a confidence percentage reflecting the strength of the underlying data signals. My "Best Value" picks highlight the bets with the highest expected return based on odds-vs-probability analysis. Full breakdown of weights, formulas, and validation rules lives on the Methodology page.
Data Source
All fixtures, results, line-ups, statistics, and odds used by our prediction engine are provided by API-Football — an industry-standard feed covering 180+ leagues and competitions worldwide. We rely on API-Football for live scores, historical match data, team statistics, and bookmaker odds, ensuring every prediction is grounded in accurate, real-time information.
