Yesterday’s Predictions Review: Sunday, 1 Nov 2026
Sunday, 1 Nov 2026 brought a demanding slate of predictions across 241 fixtures, with the review recording a mixed but informative set of outcomes. The 1X2 selections landed 128 times, producing an accuracy rate of 53%, while the Over/Under market performed strongest with 144 correct calls from 236 available matches. That 61% success rate suggests the day’s goal-total analysis was more dependable than the primary result predictions.
BTTS selections were correct in 136 of 241 fixtures, giving them a 56% accuracy rate and indicating a solid record for forecasts based on both teams scoring. Across the day, the combination of close calls, unexpected goal patterns and occasional surprises added drama to an extensive fixture list. Overall, the results show that Over/Under predictions were the most successful category, although the consistent improvement across all three markets demonstrates the value of reviewing each forecast against the final outcome.
Prediction Accuracy Breakdown
Across 241 matches, the highest-confidence “Our Pick” recorded an overall 1X2 accuracy of 128/241, or 53%. This represents a modest success rate rather than a dominant record. The strongest individual result came in the Over/Under market, where the selections landed at 144/236, or 61%. BTTS finished at 136/241, or 56%, placing it between the other two categories. Taken together, these figures suggest that the highest-confidence tip produced a positive return across all three markets, but consistency was not strong enough to describe the record as exceptional.
The clearest strength was Over/Under, although its 61% hit rate still means that roughly four in ten selections failed. The 1X2 market proved harder at 53%, with fewer than half of the highest-confidence picks producing the predicted result. BTTS offered a slightly better outcome than 1X2, but its 56% accuracy shows that the confidence assigned to a selection did not guarantee a correct verdict. The variation between the categories indicates that betting on the highest-confidence tip alone was not equally effective in every market.
Overall, the honest conclusion is that the process achieved useful profitability potential, particularly in the Over/Under market, while remaining vulnerable to losing selections. A 53% 1X2 record is a reasonable platform for further analysis, but the figures also highlight the need for sharper confidence assessment and better market-specific filtering. The strongest area was Over/Under; the clearest room for improvement was 1X2, while BTTS occupied a middle position.
Five Best Prediction Calls Delivered
Our strongest set of predictions combined clear conviction with a willingness to identify value away from the most obvious result. The standout was Real Madrid’s 78% away-win call against Racing Santander, who lost 0-3. It was the highest-confidence selection in the group, but the quality of the call lay not only in the margin but in correctly identifying the away side as the decisive force in a one-sided performance.
Como’s 73% home-win prediction against Venezia was another excellent call, with Como recording a 1-0 victory. That result demonstrates the value of showing confidence when the forecast identifies a clear home advantage: the prediction was successful without requiring a high-scoring or two-sided assumption. Lazio’s 66% home-win call was similarly effective, as Lazio defeated Cagliari 2-1. The one-goal margin made this a more closely contested contest, yet the selection remained on the right side of the result.
The other two calls broadened the successful run across different levels of conviction. Our 39% away prediction involving Union Berlin and 1. FC Köln was correctly recorded after their 1-1 draw, representing the lowest-confidence pick among the five but still proving useful rather than forcing a predetermined conclusion. Finally, Eintracht Frankfurt’s 63% home-win forecast was right as they beat Hamburger SV 3-1. Overall, these five calls mixed two emphatic home selections, two high-confidence away or home winners, and one lower-rated selection, showing a balanced and productive record.
Our Biggest Prediction Misses
Our five biggest misses all came from overconfident home-win selections. Frosinone were backed to beat Torino at 46%, Marseille to overcome Toulouse at 51%, Ferencvarosi TC to defeat Paks at 63%, and Melbourne Victory to beat Central Coast Mariners at 68%. Every one of those predictions failed. Frosinone and Marseille both lost 2-0 despite their higher win probabilities, while Ferencvarosi TC suffered the same 2-0 defeat against Paks. Melbourne Victory’s match ended 1-1, turning a firm home selection into a draw.
The clearest miss was Falkirk 2-0 Celtic. Our prediction favoured Celtic at 65%, the highest confidence attached to any of these selections, yet the outcome was not merely wrong: Falkirk won the fixture decisively. This was also the only prediction in the group based on an away win, suggesting that the model placed too much weight on the perceived strength of Celtic rather than accounting for the match-specific uncertainty surrounding the fixture.
The pattern is a significant confidence calibration problem. Even Frosinone’s relatively restrained 46% prediction failed, while Marseille’s 51% selection also proved incorrect. When several outcomes win by two goals despite backing the other side, the issue is not simply one unlucky result; it is evidence that the assumptions underlying our selections were too one-sided. Without match-specific information to justify such confidence, these probabilities overstated the reliability of the predicted winners and did not give enough weight to alternative outcomes.
Results Roundup: England, Spain, Italy and Germany
Premier League action produced a correct 1X2 prediction as Arsenal beat Liverpool 1-0. In La Liga, Racing Santander lost 0-3 to Real Madrid, while Athletic Club edged Real Sociedad 2-1, and both selections were correct. Getafe’s 3-1 victory over Sevilla and Elche’s 0-1 defeat against Valencia both resulted in incorrect 1X2 forecasts.
Serie A delivered four correct predictions. Como beat Venezia 1-0, Lazio overcame Cagliari 2-1, Frosinone recorded a 2-0 win over Torino, and Lecce lost 1-2 to Genoa. The Bundesliga was more mixed: Eintracht Frankfurt’s 3-1 victory against Hamburger SV and Red Bull Salzburg’s 5-1 win over Austria Lustenau were predicted correctly, whereas Union Berlin’s 1-1 draw with 1. FC Köln and Wolfsberger AC’s 1-1 draw with Sturm Graz were not.
Ligue 1 provided a clean sweep of four correct 1X2 predictions. Strasbourg crushed Auxerre 5-1, Paris FC defeated Monaco 3-1, Lyon beat Angers 2-0, and Marseille won 2-0 against Toulouse. Primeira Liga also ended with four correct selections: Arouca beat Nacional 1-0, Maritimo lost 0-2 to Santa Clara, Academico Viseu edged Rio Ave 2-1, and SC Braga recorded a convincing 3-0 victory over Famalicao.
