Yesterday’s Results: A Productive Day of Predictions

Alexey Andrianov 6 min read 9 28 Oct 2026

Tuesday, 27 Oct 2026, brought a demanding slate of 97 fixtures, with the headline 1X2 predictions landing 59 correct outcomes for a 61% success rate. The Over/Under market also produced a strong 61? No, 58 correct calls from 92 settled fixtures, equating to 63% accuracy. Together, these results show how the day combined reliable directional forecasting with an effective approach to estimating whether matches would contain enough goals.

BTTS predictions were less successful but still returned a positive return, with 50 correct calls across the full 97-fixture slate and an accuracy of 52%. Mixed outcomes are natural across such a large volume of games, particularly when every selection depends on the balance of attacking and defensive performances. Even so, the overall figures for 1X2, Over/Under and BTTS provide a clear review of the day’s work and highlight the areas where the predictions delivered their strongest results.

Our Pick Accuracy: Solid, but Not Uniform

Across 97 matches, our highest-confidence “Our Pick” produced a 1X2 hit rate of 59/97, or 61%. This is the strongest of the three main markets by a small margin, although 59 correct selections still leave 38 misses. The result suggests that the ranking process consistently found value in the selected side more often than not, but it did not provide anything close to complete accuracy.

The Over/Under selections delivered 58/92, or 63%, making them the best-performing category despite covering 92 matches rather than 97. That distinction matters: the higher percentage came with five fewer predictions, so direct comparison should account for both the totals and the confidence level attached to each pick. The BTTS selections were less reliable at 50/97, or 52%. With exactly half of the 97 selections landing, there is limited evidence of a meaningful edge in that market.

Overall, the figures show a respectable record, with the strongest performance in Over/Under and the weakest in BTTS. However, accuracy alone does not establish profitability because the review does not include the prices available on the successful picks. Future assessment should therefore consider hit rate alongside the quality of each “Our Pick,” while treating the BTTS category as the clearest area requiring review.

Best Prediction Calls

Our strongest calls combined clear directional conviction with several emphatic results. Cuarte’s 0-2 defeat to Girona in the Copa del Rey Round of 128 was predicted as an Away Win with 80% confidence, and the two-goal margin justified that high rating. RB Leipzig’s 2-1 win over Rot-Weiss Essen in the DFB Pokal Round of 32 produced the most confident selection of the set at 81%. Both were competitive tournament fixtures, and our calls captured the winning side without ambiguity.

The AS Roma 4-2 Cagliari prediction was another high-confidence success, with a 74% Home Win forecast matching the outcome and the two-goal margin reinforcing the call. Lazio’s 6-2 victory over Sassuolo also landed through our Away Win prediction, although the 46% rating makes it especially notable: the forecast identified the winning side without relying on overwhelming probability, while the four-goal margin supplied strong retrospective support.

Eintracht Frankfurt’s 3-1 win over Hamburger SV completed an outstanding run. Predicted at 47% for an Away Win, it joined the Sassuolo-Lazio fixture as a correctly judged match in which the winning outcome exceeded the more cautious confidence level. Across all five calls, the key achievement was consistent match-winner identification: Girona, Lazio, Roma, RB Leipzig and Eintracht Frankfurt all won exactly as forecast, with four victories by at least two goals.

Biggest Prediction Misses

The largest failure was Larne’s 1-1 draw with Limavady United. A 77% home-win prediction proved far too confident: the result showed that the assessment overvalued Larne’s advantage and failed to account for Limavady United securing an equalizer. The match also demonstrated the danger of assigning an excessive probability to one outcome, as a draw left the prediction completely wrong rather than merely missing the scoreline.

Two DFB Pokal Round of 32 errors reinforced the same issue. SV Elversberg lost 2-0 to SV Darmstadt 98 despite a 68% home-win prediction, while Telstar lost 2-0 to Almere City FC after being backed to win at 46%. As competitive tournament fixtures rather than friendly matches, both demanded caution that the predictions did not deliver. Darmstadt and Almere City won convincingly, suggesting that the pre-match assessments underestimated the opposition and overestimated the favored teams’ chances.

The remaining misses were Sanna Khanh Hoa’s 1-0 defeat to Dong Thap, predicted as a 45% home win, and Văn Hiến’s 1-1 draw with Xuan Thien Phu Tho, forecast as a 45% away win. Across all five games, the common pattern was misplaced confidence: none of the predicted home wins arrived, and the only predicted away win became a draw. The results underline the need for more conservative probability estimates and sharper recognition of evenly matched or difficult opponents.

Results Roundup by League

Serie A produced a convincing run of correct 1X2 selections. Lazio won 6-2 at Sassuolo, Como secured a 3-1 victory over Torino, and AS Roma defeated Cagliari 4-2. All three of the day’s Serie A predictions were correct.

In the Copa del Rey Round of 128, Girona beat Cuarte 2-0. The DFB Pokal Round of 32 delivered three correct calls as RB Leipzig edged Rot-Weiß Essen 2-1, Eintracht Frankfurt beat Hamburger SV 3-1, and FC Augsburg overcame SG Sonnenhof Grossaspach 4-2; Bochum’s 2-0 win over Mainz was the one incorrect result. All four KNVB Beker Round of 64 predictions were correct, with Roda beating De Graafschap 1-0, Den Bosch defeating Rijnsburgse Boys 5-3, Cambuur winning 2-0 at Kloetinge, and Willem II edging Helmond Sport 4-3.

The Türkiye Kupası Quarter-finals were less reliable. İstanbulspor beat Ağrı 1970 2-1, Aliağa FAŞ won 1-0 against Pazarspor, and Gaziantep FK recorded a 4-0 victory over Etimesgut SK, but Kahramanmaraş İstiklal Spor’s 4-1 win over İnegöl Kafkas Gençlik was marked incorrect. In the Austrian Cup Round of 16, Rapid Vienna beat First Vienna 3-0, while WSPG Wels’ 1-0 victory over Wolfsberger AC and SCR Altach’s 4-0 win against Grazer AK were the two incorrect selections.

Conclusion: A Strong Day for Predictions

Yesterday’s Results covered 97 matches on Tuesday, 27 Oct 2026, delivering a 1X2 accuracy of 61%. The figure reflects a solid performance across the day’s fixtures and provides a useful benchmark for evaluating the predictions.

Overall, the review highlights the value of the prediction set while leaving room for continued improvement in match selection and forecast accuracy.
